Matthieu Merchadou Featured in Invest: Miami 11th Edition
Magma Co-Founder & CEO Matthieu Merchadou has been featured in the newly released Invest: Miami 11th Edition by Capital Analytics Associates, discussing the future of real estate, trusted building data, AI, and city-scale digital infrastructure.
In the interview, Matthieu discusses one of the fundamental challenges facing the built environment: while buildings can exist for decades, the information describing their condition, systems, documentation and history remains fragmented across owners, operators, contractors, public agencies and disconnected software platforms.
Magma’s vision is to change that by creating a trusted and continuously updated digital identity for buildings, allowing verified information to follow an asset throughout its lifecycle.
The objective extends well beyond better property management. Trusted building data can help accelerate transactions and due diligence, improve asset and facility management, give lenders and insurers greater visibility into physical assets, support permitting and compliance, and provide the reliable data infrastructure required for artificial intelligence.
As Matthieu explains in the interview:
“If AI is going to play a real role in real estate, it has to run on validated information.”
From individual buildings to city-scale infrastructure
The interview also explores Magma’s broader vision for cities.
When trusted building-level information can interoperate across many properties, the same infrastructure can support permitting, inspections, energy strategies, resilience planning, predictive maintenance and increasingly automated public and private services.
This transition—from isolated building systems toward a shared digital infrastructure for the built environment—is central to Magma’s work and to our vision for the future of urban development.
Miami has played an important role in that journey. As the city continues to establish itself as a global center for technology, real estate, capital and innovation, we believe it can also become a leading testing ground for the next generation of urban digital infrastructure.
We thank Capital Analytics Associates and the Invest: Miami team for the opportunity to contribute to the 11th Edition and to the broader conversation around Miami’s economic and technological future.
